CigExpress uses ID uploads only to verify that a customer is 18 or over for the sale and delivery of R18 regulated products in New Zealand.
The form response and ID upload are processed for CigExpress through Hulk Form Builder (HulkApps / Shop Circle) and are accessed only for this verification purpose.
After verification, CigExpress replaces the ID upload with a verification-result record linked to the relevant customer or order. The record confirms that the R18 check was completed and does not contain the ID image or document number. The uploaded ID is normally deleted manually from HulkApps within seven days after verification.
